What AeroZulu is

AeroZulu is a planning aid for visual (VFR) flying in Brazil and the United States. It reads officially published data — FAA and NOAA sources for US flights; DECEA sources (AISWEB, REDEMET, GEOAISWEB) for Brazil — and organizes it into a readable briefing, always alongside the official text each summary came from.

In the United States there is no regulatory concept of a mandatory "official briefing" for Part 91 operations: 14 CFR 91.103 requires the pilot in command to become familiar with all available information, and FAA Advisory Circular 91-92 recognizes self-briefing with third-party tools. AeroZulu helps you do that work — it does not replace it.

What AeroZulu is not

AeroZulu is NOT an official source of aeronautical briefings and is NOT certified by any aviation authority — not the FAA, not ANAC, not DECEA. Nothing it presents replaces checking the official publications in force.

The pilot in command retains full legal responsibility for the preparation and conduct of the flight, including verifying weather, NOTAMs, charts, airspace, fuel, performance and the legality of the operation.

The service does not file, transmit or activate flight plans.

Data sources and licenses

US aeronautical data comes from official FAA products (the NASR registry, d-TPP terminal procedures, the TFR service) and NOAA aviation weather — works of the US Government in the public domain. Brazilian data comes from AISWEB, REDEMET and GEOAISWEB, DECEA’s official services, consumed through authorized APIs; AISWEB content is licensed under CC BY 4.0 and attributed as such. Elevation and winds-aloft data come from Open-Meteo; winds are from the ECMWF IFS (© ECMWF, CC BY 4.0) and NOAA GFS models. Magnetic variation uses the World Magnetic Model (NOAA/BGS).

We do not sell public data. What is charged for is the service that normalizes, decodes and synthesizes it.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for damages arising from operational decisions made on the basis of the information presented, nor for unavailability, delay or inaccuracy of the underlying government sources.

Use of the site

You may read and share this site’s content freely. Automated scraping, unauthorized use of the brand, and presenting the content as an official publication are not permitted.

Governing law and contact
