AeroZulu was born planning Brazil’s published visual corridors: named gates, altitude bands, mandatory directions, point by point. That discipline now reads the US airspace the same way — every direct leg is swept against Class B, C and D, special-use areas and the TFRs active at that moment, with the floors and ceilings quoted from the official data.

The result is a briefing you can fly. “Remain below the 3,000-foot Class B shelf, Republic Tower on 118.8” is how the flight actually goes.

No number is invented

Frequencies, altitudes, distances and fuel figures come out of a tool or a publication. When the data does not exist, the agent says it does not exist.

FAQ

What pilots ask before subscribing.

Is AeroZulu an official source of preflight briefings?

No. It is an advisory planning tool. It reads the official publications and organizes them into a nav log, which can help you become familiar with the available information before a flight, the way 14 CFR 91.103 requires and AC 91-92 describes for third-party tools — but it is not certified by any aviation authority, and it does not replace the official sources. The pilot in command remains the final authority.

Where does the US data come from?

From official, public US government sources: airport data from the FAA NASR (about 4,900 public-use airports), terminal procedures and airport diagrams from the FAA d-TPP (24,000+ charts), aviation weather — METAR, TAF, SIGMET, G-AIRMET, PIREPs — from NOAA, and live TFRs from tfr.faa.gov.

Does it plan corridor routes in the US?

No. Corridor routing works over the REA and REH visual corridors that Brazil publishes — that is the Brazilian differentiator, and it stays in Brazil. US routes are planned as direct legs, with the airspace along the route analyzed and active TFRs checked.

Can it invent a frequency or an altitude?

The agent's rule is that no number comes from the model: frequencies, altitudes, distances and fuel figures come out of a tool or a publication. When the data does not exist, it says it does not exist instead of estimating — an airport record with no published frequency becomes a warning, not a guess.

Does it file flight plans?

No — neither in Brazil nor in the US. It drafts the plan for you to review, but filing stays with the official channels and the services you already use.

How is it priced and billed?

Plans are priced in Brazilian reais (BRL) and billed through the app stores — the product launched in Brazil, and the store subscriptions are the same for every user. Cancel anytime through the store.

Does it work offline?

No. Data is fetched at the moment you ask, because NOTAMs and METARs change constantly — a briefing saved from yesterday would be worse than none. The exported GPX, though, stays on your phone.
